Following the success of last year's change in format, this year Junior Athletic Games moves back to New England, and will maintain the same family-oriented feel of last year's games.
The weekend will kick off Friday night, September 28th with the arrival of all out of town families. We have arranged special hotel accomodations for out of town families, a discounted AYF rate of $115 per night at the Doubletree Guest Suites Waltham, the same hotel used earlier this year for NATs. To book a room, call 781-890-6767 and ask for the AYF rate.
Saturday morning starts off early with the swimming events, which will be held from 9am-12pm at MIT's indoor pool.
At noon the competition will move to the track events, which will be held at Victory Field in Watertown. A bus will be available all day to take juniors, seniors, and parents between events.
Saturday night the athletes will celebrate with live music and the presentation of awards at the Olympic dance, which will take place at St. Stephen's Church in Watertown. All juniors who participate get in free.
