Thursday:
- Pre-Olympic Party – 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. Rooftop Rotunda of the Hyatt Regency Dearborn. American/Armenian music by: DJ ESSO. $10 per person
Friday:
- AYF/Alumni Golf Tournament – 7:45 a.m. registration, 8:30 a.m. shotgun start (scramble format). Dearborn Country Club (100 N. Military St., Dearborn). $110 per person includes golf, cart, and lunch. Contact Jill Dolik for more information (jdolik@comcast.net or 248-593-8600).
- Swim Meet – 5:00 p.m. Northville High School (45700 Six Mile Road, Northville)
- Detroit’s Famous Alumni Party – 8 p.m. - 1 a.m. Enjoy a night of mezza and dancing while reuniting with friends from around the country – Detroit style! Armenian Music by: The Johnites/Ara Topouzian along with special alumni guest Armenian musicians! $20 per person ($10 age 12 and under). Held at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn.
- AYF Dance – 10 p.m - 3 a.m. Armenian-American pop star sensation Harout Pamboukjian and his Band from California will be featured. His Armenian dance, folk, and revolutionary songs make him a crowd favorite. $30 per person ($15 age 12 and under). Held at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn.
Saturday:
- Tennis – 9 a.m. The Fairlane Club (5000 Fairlane Woods Drive, Dearborn) [NOTE TIME AND LOCATION CHANGE]
- Softball Tournament/Picnic – 9 a.m. Levagood Park (700 N. Silvery Lane, Dearborn). Another Detroit tradition, this joint softball tournament and picnic first began in 1993. It includes the AYF softball tournament, an array of food, open swimming, and Armenian music by the Ara Topouzian Ensemble. Admission is free.
- 75th Anniversary Celebration Dinner Dance – Cocktails: 6-7 p.m., Dinner: 7-9 p.m., Dancing: After 10 p.m. For the first time in Olympic history, we are having a dinner celebration filled with surprise announcements, presentations and a unique combination of Armenian music for your listening and dancing pleasure. Armenian music by: The All-Stars (Onnik, Hachig, John, Bruce, Ara) with The Nigosian Band and Aravod. For ticket information, click here to go to the 75th Dinner Dance page. Sunday:
- Track & Field – 8 a.m., Opening Ceremonies – Early afternoon. Harrison High School (29995 W. 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills)
- Sunday Night Grand Ball – 8 p.m. Awards ceremony along with the finest in Armenian music provided by the All-Stars: Hachig Kazarian, Onnik Dinkjian, John Berberian, Bruce Gigarjian, and Ara Dinkjian. $30 per person ($15 age 12 and under). Held at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn.
- Hook Up – immediately following the Grand Ball. Continue dancing into the night as Aravod and DJ ESSO take the stage from the All Stars. $10 per person (if you did not attend the dance). Held at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn.
Monday:
- Farewell Picnic – 10 a.m. Enjoy a kebab, say good-bye to friends before you make your travels back home. The Armenian Community Center (19310 Ford Rd, Dearborn). Armenian music by The Nigosian Band.
